Leah Ramanujan
Director of Catering and Events | Crystal Ballroom at The Lerner
Leah Ramanujan joined Navarre Hospitality Group in August 2022 as the Director of Catering and Events at the Crystal Ballroom at The Lerner. From her very first day, Leah was captivated by the venue’s historic charm and its deep ties to the Elkhart community. Nearly three years later, she still starts her mornings with the same ritual—flipping on the lights and greeting the ballroom with, “Good morning, my beautiful ballroom.”
With nearly 30 years of experience in the event industry, Leah brings a wealth of creativity, leadership, and hands-on expertise to every event. Before joining Navarre, she owned and operated an award-winning floral and event design studio. Known as a “Jill of all trades,” Leah is the person you want in your corner—whether it’s sewing a dress hem, sawing a branch to reinforce an arch, or navigating a last-minute challenge with calm and confidence.
As the oldest of six siblings, Leah naturally takes on the role of guide, advocate, and problem-solver. Her leadership style is rooted in collaboration, care, and a belief that great hospitality starts behind the scenes. She leads her team with warmth, laughter, and shared meals in the kitchen—always striving to create a work culture that feels like family.
Outside of work, Leah enjoys life at home with her partner, Thomas, who never fails to leave the light on when she’s working late. She’s a proud mom to two daughters: Anjali, a sociology student at Indiana University, and Navya, a student at the University of Pennsylvania and a performer on the Lerner Theatre stage. Their household also includes two pampered pups who are always ready for their chance to be event VIPs—four-legged ring bearers included.

Sean Miller
General Manager | Navarre Hospitality Group
Sean Miller brings over 20 years of experience in the food and hospitality industry, with a deep passion for delivering exceptional service. He began his journey with Navarre Hospitality Group in 2017 at the Crystal Ballroom, and through hard work and dedication, he has grown into the role of General Manager for The Crystal Ballroom, The Armory, The Brick, and Palais Royale.
Before entering hospitality, Sean served in the U.S. Air Force as part of the Security Forces, a background that instilled in him a strong sense of discipline, teamwork, and attention to detail—all qualities he brings to every event he helps execute.
Sean is a proud husband to Misty and a devoted father to three children: Layla, Sean, and Tristan. Outside of work, you’ll often find him riding his Harley, enjoying the open road whenever he gets the chance.
Whether he’s behind the scenes or working alongside his team, Sean is committed to providing top-notch service and unforgettable experiences for every client.

James Baxter has been a cornerstone of Navarre Hospitality Group since 2012, bringing with him over 18 years of culinary experience. As Executive Chef, James leads a talented team of chefs across our venues and offsite catering operations. His leadership, precision, and passion for food have made him an indispensable force behind the hundreds of events we execute each year.
James is not only a master in the kitchen but also a dedicated family man. He is married to his wife, Rachel, and together they have three children. When he's not crafting menus or mentoring his team, you can find James on the golf course, enjoying a rare moment of downtime.
There is truly no one like James in the industry—his commitment, expertise, and ability to deliver excellence at scale sets him apart.
